- A Charity Competition in Aid of MS is at present being organised for the last weekend in April, while still in the early stages of planning one of the top prizes will be a weekend on the Ridge Pool, Ballina in June donated by the Fishery Board.

1st prize is 1 Rod on the Ridge Pool, Ballina sponsored by North Western Regional Fisheries Board and two nights bed and breakfast sponsored by the Loft Bar, Ballina and a shared rod on the Ridge Pool.

- Danescast held their Troutmaster Fish Off on 1st March with 11 Anglers taking part and a total of 80 fish being caught.  The winner of the fish off went to Campbell Baird Carrickfergus with 19 fish released, 2nd Tom Williamson Game-Fisher with 14 fish released.

The fishery would like to thank Campbell for taking part and wish him the best of luck for the final of the Troutmasters.
